Friends & Advocates
Friends & Advocates Peel is a Community Adult Mental Health Organization providing Social Rehabilitation services; offering services for those who can attend activities in at least one of four service areas (Brampton, Mississauga, Dufferin, North Etobicoke). Currently activities are offered online via Zoom, Facebook, Instagram and in person. Updates are also posted on our Facebook and Instagram. There are a variety of support services provided to those who have experienced, and are recovering from mental/emotional distress which has led to social isolation. Members are provided with opportunities to develop strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills Activities include:
The Consumer-Survivor Network (CSN) operates out of this office. It is a newly revised opportunity for F&A members and the community in all areas, to participate in group peer support. Coming together on Zoom or in-person to focus on recovery and discuss the many issues peers face living day to day with mental health, addiction and substance challenges. Services and Programs:
