Academic and Career Preparation
This is a free, goal-directed, flexible and supportive upgrading program. It accommodates the realities of daily life, while allowing participants to bring their reading, writing, math and other essential skills up to a high-school level. The Acadmic and Career Entrance (ACE) certificate is recognized as equivalent to a Grade 12 diploma by all Ontario Colleges, and by many employers. All the services are free (funded by Employment Ontario)
Classes run during the day as well as evenings at Georgian College's Orangeville campus, as well as in Shelburne at Mel Lloyd Centre, to accommodate all learners.
Anna Czekanski from the Academic and Career Preparation program will be working at Edelbrock Centre in the Employment Resource Community Office every Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until noon. During this time, she is available for walk-in clients and referrals from other services and programs at the Edelbrock Centre. To book a specific time, email her at anna.czekanski@georgiancollege.ca.
*You do not need to be a Georgian College student to access our free employment resources. There may be requirements for Earn and Learn programs.
